Makes
1 load and 3 starters
- 1 c. live yeast starter from your friend.
- Day 6 ingredients:
- 1 c flour
- 1 c sugar
- 1 c milk
- Day 10 ingredients:
- 1 c flour
- 1 c sugar
- 1 c milk.
- Final Bread Ingredients
- 1 c oil
- 1/2 c milk
- 3 eggs
- 1 t vanilla
- In separate bowl:
- 2 c flour
- 1 c sugar
- 1 1/2 t baking powder
- 1/2 t baking soda
- 1 box (5.1 oz) instant vanilla pudding
- 1/2 t salt
- 1 c nuts
Methods/steps
- Follow this progression with your starter:
- Day 1 - do nothing
- Days 2-5 - stir the starter with a wooden spoon
- Day 6 - add the ingredients listed. Mix with wooden spoon.
- Days 7-9 - stir with wooden spoon.
- Day 10 - Add Day 10 ingredients. Stir. Remove 3 cups of the starter and place 1 cup into three separate plastic containers. Give each one to a friend. Take the remaining cup of starter and add the final bread ingredients.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Mix and pour into two well-greased and sugared bread pans. Bake at 325 for 1 hour.
